The Pilates method is a unique movement technique that specifically targets the abdominal, pelvic floor and shoulder girdle area and helps to re-balance the body bringing it into correct postural alignment, using deep postural muscles to build core strength and stability.
Our Pilates classes are suitable for everyone of all ages and levels of fitness, whether you are a complete beginner, have some knowledge, or have advanced experience. Pregnant and post-natal women are also welcome to join a class, although a one to one session is highly recommended in the second and third trimester of pregnancy, before joining. Pilates is great for preparing for labour and recovering from birth.
Pilates is also particularly beneficial for rehabilitation from injury; those who suffer from back problems and for anybody suffering from conditions such as MS, arthritis and osteoporosis. At InspireFit we offer both group matwork classes and one-to-one sessions for the more personal touch where a programme is designed around individual goals. Private sessions are also recommended for those suffering from an injury or a specific health condition before joining a class.
