Mat Pilates

The Pilates method is a unique movement technique that specifically targets the abdominal, pelvic floor and shoulder girdle area and helps to re-balance the body bringing it into correct postural alignment, using deep postural muscles to build core strength and stability. Mat Pilates is a form of Pilates performed on a mat rather than using specialised equipment like the reformer.  We often use small props in classes like resistance bands, mini stability balls, Pilates Circles and foam rollers.

At InspireFit we have 17 weekly matwork sessions and our classes are suitable for everyone of all ages and levels of fitness, whether you are a complete beginner, have some knowledge, or have advanced experience. Pregnant and post-natal women are also welcome to join a class, although a one to one session is highly recommended in the second and third trimester of pregnancy, before joining.  Pilates is great for preparing for labour and recovering from birth.

Mat Pilates at InspireFit is suitable for all levels of fitness with classes lasting 45 minutes and bookable on a block booking basis.
